Hosh’s Poker Tip Of The Week
If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires. Quote by Alex Williams. How true this is in learning and mastering poker from the beginner to the very best players. The best worked hard and used their imagination to become good now they shape the world around them. Example: Phil Ivey, Tom Duan “Durrr”, Patrick Antonius

Sometimes good opportunities will present themselves more frequently when there are especially bad or weak tight players at your table. Jedi Method http://www.pokerstrategyforums.com
Hand coordination is the relative strength of your hand compared to your opponents’ hand, and it’s probably the single biggest factor determining whether you have a good or bad session in poker. If it’s working in your favor, whenever you flop a monster, one of your opponents will also make a big hand, just not quite as big as yours. In this situation, playing your hand as fast as possible usually gives you the best chance to make the most money. Brandon Adams. The rest of

Hosh’s Tip
The difference between no limit and limit holdem mostly comes down to hand ranges. The ranges in limit holdem although large at the beginning are also wide at the end. Many times you have to call down lightly if you feel the opponent was on a draw. In no limit holdem due to the amount of money that you may have put into the pot, you have to be much more careful with the handling of the hand ranges. Most likely you will be putting all your money in against two or three combinations that you can beat. But many times all your combinations will be dead as your opponent has the absolute nuts. So when playing no limit holdem the trick is to tabulate the opponents range. Calculate where you fit in that range and the most important part can you beat most of the hands in that range. This allows you to put all your money with the best hand. In limit on the other hand because the bets and pots are small you may have to call down with as little as ace high as the ranges can be very large when their happen to be a lot of draws on the board. For new players who want to know what ranges of hands usually win happens to the key things that players need to learn. It is not good enough just to play and play at high speed. Time must be taken on the first three cards of the board. This is where the calculation of ranges come into play is not good enough just to say there is a flush draw on the board. Remember there are many flush draws out. One of them just happens to be the nuts. You must break down the hand starting with full houses, trips and there are 3 of them on the flop, flush draws straight draws and then pairs. If you do not have anything that can beat these hands you are either bluffing or are going to lose your money. That’s only half of the problem when calculating these ranges. When you make a bet and he calls he has most often has some part of that range. Where the truly great players are special is that they calculate the opponent’s holdings. If they have him down to a few hands in which he cannot win at all, they are able to make bets which will keep him in the pot yet maximize the earn. If the opponent folds their will be no money to be made. They closely calculate his range allowing a bluff or great lay down. With a little luck they become huge winners over the year but they have refined this to a fine art a place where you want to become a place where you make enough money as to where you can dictate what you want a place where you can shape the world of poker around you. Play good and Have Fun! Hosh.
